Welcome Raluca Zamfirescu, 2015 International Affairs Fellow with the BIED Society

Ms. Raluca Zamfirescu is currently pursuing an MSc in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University, Netherlands. She has previously worked as an intern for the Program on Terrorism and Security Studies at the Gorge C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, where she had the chance to discover her passion for social media analysis. She also interned at the European Parliament, where she participated in various conferences and activities organized by the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Subcommittee on Security and Defence. Raluca holds a BA in International Safety and Security Management from The Hague University in the Netherlands, where she wrote her thesis on European Foreign fighters in Syria. Her areas of interest are social media analysis, terrorism and counter-terrorism, foreign fighters, crisis management and cyber security. In the BIED Society, Raluca is pleased to find a community of professionals from different domains, where she can be introduced to different ideas, knowledge and experiences on international relations, policy, economy, cyber security, security and defense. She is eager to support BIED Society and help it thrive and develop worldwide.
