I found this information to be interesting. The commentary on climate changes is something I enjoy seeing. This reference being from 2009 makes it an interesting inclusion. I hope that NATO is still directing efforts to climate change. I believe that climate change will continue to be a major issue that impacts everyone. I believe that nuclear non-proliferation helps with climate change. I believe that the use of nuclear arms would negatively impact climate change. The document also focuses on the fragile and failed states. The threat of terrorism to NATO member states is still great in 2020. I would like to see how the threat of terrorism in 2020 compares to the threat in 2009. This focus from NATO interests me.

I agree climate change will increase in salience on the global scale. I think that depending on the leadership within NATO efforts to tackle environmental issues could be great and provide immediate change, or it could look more in line with the previous status quo.

I appreciate that NATO has a goal to maintain good relations with other intergovernmental organizations. Considering there are many member states that overlap between NATO and the EU, it would be smart to have close ties to one another. These two IGOs have a large influence on the world, therefore if the two are working cohesively, there is a potential for a great impact on international security.
